Our Purpose
The overarching purpose of MBCAAN is to coordinate and plan for future adaptation and resilience actions in the Monterey Bay region.
MBCAAN will be a forum for active dialogue and information sharing amongst jurisdictions, and will also serve as a communications platform for ensuring the coordinated, integrative implementation of the activities in this application.
Key Functions:
Coordinate and plan for future adaptation and resilience actions in the Monterey Bay region.
Act as a forum for active dialogue and information sharing amongst partners and other jurisdictions in and around Monterey Bay.
Serve as a communications platform for ensuring the coordinated, integrative implementation of the activities outlined in the original NOAA grant.
Host NOAA Outreach and Communications Fellow.
Convene partners to develop a Regional Resilience Plan to address climate hazards and build adaptive capacity in the Monterey Bay region beyond the end of this grant.
Pursue funding opportunities and partnerships for future adaptation work with MBCAAN members.
