Winter 2025 Formation and Decision-Making Workshop

Meeting attendees will participate in "Climate Crossroads," a curated one-day, practical role-playing experience that lets representatives from every MBCAAN member organization play with five or six real-world decision-making models, feel their trade-offs in action, and generate shared, data-rich artifacts that MBCAAN will use to develop its organizational and governance structure.

Through colorful characters, playful chance mechanics, and tightly facilitated discussion, participants will repeatedly make hard choices, negotiate resources, and reflect on the strengths and weaknesses of each decision-making method.  Iterative collective conversations, distillations, and share-outs will provide the opportunity for all voices to be heard from all groups.  Prompts such as "What are we missing, what other decision models or types should we consider?" provide the opportunity for participants to have productive conversations.
