Get to know the dedicated individuals who are working tirelessly towards building climate resilience in the Monterey Bay area. Each member brings their unique expertise and passion to our mission, ensuring that we make a meaningful impact.

Emily Franc
Monterey Bay Climate Action Adaptation Network (MBCAAN) Coordinator
Emily Franc leads the regional coordination and collaboration, community outreach, and enduring capacity program objectives of the project.

Katelyn Spofera
Program Manager & Evaluation Specialist
Katelyn Sprofera developed and leads the project's Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Plan that is meant to track and assess the impact and effectiveness of all activities throughout the project life, with a focus on understanding the impacts of project activities on regional coordination and collaboration, and enduring capacity.

Stacey Lydon
Director of Organizational Advancement
Stacey Lydon focuses on creating an endowed fund for MBCAAN to create a stable funding source to support the Network in perpetuity. She fundraises from individuals and private foundations, as well as applies for related grants, to grow the endowed fund as well as bring in current use gifts for the Network. In addition, she assists with public outreach for MBCAAN.

Pam Krone
Water Quality Program Manager
Pam Krone assists the MBCAAN Coordinator with the meeting design and facilitation, with the development of frameworks for planning, and with critical stakeholder inclusion.

Lauryn Cummins
NOAA Communications Fellow (MBCAAN/CRMB)
Lauryn Cummins is under the mentorship of the MBCAAN Network Coordinator, assisting CMSF and the MBCAAN Network Coordinator with partner communications and outreach needs, as well as other communications needs directly related to the CRRC grant. In addition, she works to showcase the implementation projects supported by the grant.
Climate Resilience Monterey Bay Grant Management

Robert Mazurek
Executive Director
Robert Mazurek will coordinate project administration and provide assistance with project partnerships as well as grant administration. He will communicate with sub-awardees for the overall grant, keep the CMSF Board of Directors informed of project activities and status, and represent the project at biennial NOAA workshops, knowledge transfer meetings, and at two climate adaptation conferences.

Danielle Brown
Director of Finance and Operations
Danielle Brown will coordinate with the Grant Finance Manager to help prepare invoices across project components and assist with financial administration.

Dr. Jesse Traller Ojeda
Climate Resilient Monterey Bay Grant Manager
Dr. Traller Ojeda is working alongside the CMSF Grant Coordinator for overall project management, partner coordination, and grant administration, including reporting.

Sharon Stevens
Grant Finance Manager
Sharon Stevens leads all the fiscal responsibilities of this grant, with support from the CMSF Director of Finance and Operations including invoicing, financial reporting, and audit compliance.

Susan Robinson
Climate Resilient Monterey Bay Co-Grant Coordinator
Susan Robinson conducts bi-monthly check-in meetings with CMSF, quarterly reports, and invoices to CMSF.

Dr. John Hunt
Science Advisory Consultant
John Hunt served as an interim MBCAAN Network Coordinator and is now in a science advisory role to MBCAAN.
